Through subordinate supervisors and/ or employees, establishes and maintains quality control standards, procedures and controls for a plant or unit. Coordinates the scheduling and control of inspection activity and enforcement requirements as specified by raw materials, ingredients, product and package specifications and regulatory agencies. Works with research and development during new product startups and establishes checkpoints for testing new products and processes. Manages through subordinates the development and maintenance of quality evaluation, control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products for a business unit or corporate. Manages the audits of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Manages the overall development of inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment as applied to new or existing company products. Conducts quality assurance testing as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages installation, inspection and testing procedures for raw materials, WIP, and finished products.
Recommends corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality specifications and standards.
Assures that all products produced represent the ultimate quality and reliability possible. Manages timelines for projects and product release.
Prioritizes quality control activities.
Resolves technical and compliance issues.
Works with the product development team to optimize designs for manufacturability.
Implements quality program standard operating procedures and train all personnel for compliance. Reports as necessary and required to Management team on status of quality control programs.
Mentors and trains quality control staff in accordance with Parkway policies and government regulations.
Manages the development, modification and maintenance of all quality evaluation and control systems in areas of product responsibility and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Manages and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Manages statistical analysis projects to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products of materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Manages the auditing process of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction, and ensures that corrective action plans are put into place and executed in a timely manner.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with all Parkway requirements.
Manages the development of sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. Reports to management as necessary and required on the status of quality assurance programs and practices.
Provides direction and training as necessary to a staff of Quality Assurance Engineers
B.S. Degree in an engineering field or 5-7 years experience in a Quality Manger role.
Automotive industry experience required
Minimum of 2 years experience with plastic injection molding and/ or interior painting.

Software knowledge required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
