The Department of Health Administration in the School of Health Sciences at the University of New Haven is seeking to hire a tenure-track faculty member in the area of public health. Preferred areas of specialization include health informatics, health education and promotion, and/or global health. This is a position to be filled for Fall 2021.
This position will support both graduate and undergraduate programs in public health. The planned Bachelor in Public Health (BSPH) degree program will launch in Fall 2021. This new program in the School of Health Sciences is projected to grow to over 100 students in the next 3 years. This position will also require teaching in the newly developed fully online MPH program.

The School of Health Sciences is comprised of seven undergraduate and three graduate programs offered on its West Haven, Connecticut campus. The School’s faculty include 55 full-time and clinical faculty, an on-campus Dental Center and a Health Sciences Simulation Laboratory.

• Teach 6 courses per year at the undergraduate or graduate level
• Advise and mentor students in the School of Health Sciences, specifically BSPH and MPH students
• Serve on departmental, college, and university level committees
• Engage in an active scholarly research agenda in public health
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background investigation. The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity.

• An earned doctorate degree in public health, health policy, or related discipline
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate or graduate level
• Experience advising, mentoring, or coaching students or peers
• Experience with accredited public health programs and continuous quality improvement of academic programs
• Experience teaching online and in hybrid course delivery formats
• Experience working in diverse, multidisciplinary teams
