The Breast Imaging Section in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, invites applications for a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the clinical educator track. The successful applicant will join breast Imaging radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities including Jackson Memorial Hospital, a 1600-bed primary and tertiary care public hospital; UHealth Tower Hospital, a private 550-bed multi-specialty hospital; and the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics including Sylvester and Comprehensive Cancer Center and its satellites. The ideal candidate for this position will have completed a fellowship in Breast Imaging. Both junior faculty, as well as more senior candidates with an academic record commensurate with experience, will be considered. Responsibilities will include providing clinical imaging services, mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and intervention. The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Taylor Breast Center are high volume clinical services, with state of the art equipment, including digital breast tomosynthesis units across the system, contrast enhanced digital mammography, several US units, prone and upright stereotactic biopsy units, as well as numerous 1.5 and 3.0 T magnets with breast imaging and intervention capabilities. In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, breast imaging fellows and medical students. They will participate in clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conferences. There will be opportunities to serve on Departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology.
