Description:

Implements the multiple facets for the Infection Control program and serves as a liaison between physicians and health care personnel and the various hospital committees. Implements programs and provides educational opportunities to inform staff of proper Infection Control techniques. Monitors compliance with multiple regulatory standards for infection control. Monitors the delivery of safe, cost-effective care to our patients, staff, visitors and others in the healthcare environment.
 

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
BSN or BS in Health Field
 
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 
2 or more years of acute care hospital experience or 2 years of Infection Control experience. Has knowledge and experience in patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, program administration, and epidemiology.
 
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
 
Mass RN License, or ASCP, CIC certification preferred.
