Intelligent Automation is seeking a highly motivated Transportation Research Scientist / Engineer at all levels (junior to senior) with expertise in multiscale traffic simulations (macro/meso/micro), traffic management and signal control, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) research and development.
Areas of focus include traffic network management, traffic flow theory, traffic signal operation/control, Cellular V2X, and Connected/Automated Vehicles.
Experience with multi-modal transportation system management & modeling is a plus.

Job Duties
Conduct innovative R&D in traffic control/operation, ITS, and traffic modeling/analysis
Conduct traffic simulations to support traffic management and operations
Develop, improve and support innovative transportation technologies for Federal and State Agencies
Write research proposals and technical reports
Required Skills
Proficient in traffic simulation and signal optimization software such as VISSIM, CORSIM, VISUM, AIMSUN, and Synchro, etc.
Experience with traffic signal control and familiar with controller standards (NEMA, 2070, NTCIP, etc.) and high-res data analysis/applications
Self-motivated, innovative thinking; good team-working spirit
Program management experience/technical leadership for transportation projects
Education
Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (CE), Transportation Engineering (TE), Computer Science (CS), or related field.
