The Department of Medicine at the University of North Carolina is seeking candidates for the position of Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. The Division Chief must be a leader in our robust academic practice and promote the development of expertise in research, medical education, complex clinical care, and quality and safety. Responsibilities of the Chief include a combination of administrative, clinical, research, and educational duties. We seek candidates who have a proven track record of productivity in basic, translational, clinical outcomes and/or clinical trials. Favored candidates will possess creativity, passion for academic leadership; superior communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to inspire confidence in their reasoning and decision-making; and an uncompromising commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Chief reports directly to the Chair of Medicine and works collaboratively with division chiefs across the department, as well as with other senior leaders, to carry out the intertwined missions of the Department of Medicine and UNC One Health.

Board certification in internal medicine and endocrinology. Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent communication skills.
