Project Manager - Engineer/Scientist – Signal Hill, CA Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for a Project Manager position in our Signal Hill, California location. The ideal candidate will join our Petroleum and Petrochemical Services Business Unit and assist in providing clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. As a member of our team, you will support our diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies, to the federal government, to local communities nationwide to continuously improve human health and the environment. In your role as a Project Manager, the responsibilities would include overseeing soil and groundwater assessment programs, remedy development and regulatory negotiation, design, and installation of remediation systems, managing contractors, remediation system operation & maintenance, and technical report preparation. Other job responsibilities include project staff management, field oversight of large projects at a project management level, budgeting, general project and client management, and business development. Preferred applicants would have the 40-hour OSHA HazWoper certification and a PE or PG license. Applicants must have a clean driving record, excellent technical writing and communication skills, a commitment to safe operations, and be available for some travel. The preferred candidate will be based in our Signal Hill, CA office. Our team is looking for someone who has: - A BS or MS degree (preferably a MS) in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, along with a PE or PG
- A Clean driving record
- Understanding of and experience working in Behavior Based Safety programs and leading work in that framework
- Experience working on and managing projects for refinery clients
- Experience managing projects with oversite from Regional Water Quality Control Boards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill commitments on budget/schedule and to do what it takes to meet client service expectations and requirements
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, as well as a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables
- Direct industry employment history in environmental compliance or related field
- Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on client service and cultivating long standing relationships
- Ability/willingness to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices
