This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health. An Assistant Professor teaches 21 credits per academic year, mentors students, maintains an active scholarship program, and contributes to service to the department and college.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in public health or closely related field OR a terminal medical degree with an MPH
A record of high-quality undergraduateteaching and mentoring
Expertise in social behavioral public health, public health communication, and qualitative research methods
Demonstrated ability to engage in the CEPH accreditation process for standalone undergraduate programs in public health
Experience in increasing equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism
Demonstrated experience using face to face and virtual teaching modalities
Major Responsibilities:
Teach and mentor students at the undergraduate level; Teach 21 credit hours per academic year. Course assignments include a variety of undergraduate courses encompassing introductory courses, social and behavioral public health, epidemiology, research, and program planning and evaluation.
Supervise and direct undergraduate students research
Maintain an active scholarship program
Assist with CEPH accreditation process
Assist with Health Sciences program development
Perform service-related activities for the department and the college
Demonstrate an commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508
Produce and remediate digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
Perform other duties as assigned
