Responsible for the exercise training of research participants for clinical trials. Duties include V02max testing with indirect calorimetry, strength testing, monitoring exercise safety, adherence and reminder phone calls, recruitment, and scheduling of subjects, and maintaining subject compliance and retention to the exercise protocol.
Directs a number of exercise experiments, and will analyze and interpret data derived from experiments.
Assesses potential research participants for study eligibility and will direct and tailor exercise programs on the participants.
Exercise testing while monitoring resting/exercise heart rate, blood pressures, and EKG as needed.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and works closely with the Principal Investigator, nurse practitioner, nurses, and coordinators to facilitate the study of the subject's enrollment timeline.
Evaluates and executes exercise plans for each research subject while focusing on risk reduction and behavior intervention and modification.
Facilitates healthier outcomes for research subjects by offering fitness and health-related programs.
Educates and motivates research participants.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or health-related field is required.
One (1) year of clinical or personal training is required
Additional Licenses and Certifications:
CPR and American College of Sports Medicine Certification required.
