In response to its continuous growth, IéSEG School of Management invites applications for a full-time permanent position (starting September 2022) in Operations Management at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level for the Lille (ideally) or Paris Campus. The selected candidate will be part of the Department of Operations Management.

Our Paris Campus is located in the biggest European business district of “La Défense”, and our Lille Campus is in the heart of the Northern French city of Lille (within the triangle made up by London, Paris and Brussels). Both premises have an excellent classroom infrastructure as well as an energizing research environment.
The Operations Management department consists of 10 full-time academic staff and 4 Post-docs and PhD students. Our staff teach and conduct research in the areas of Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Green Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Healthcare Management, Project Management, Product Development and Revenue Management. Our diverse body of permanent professors have recently published articles in in top-tier refereed international journals such as (amongst others): European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
ABOUT THE POSITION
From applicants, we expect evidence of strong teaching skills and a commitment to researchexcellence. Professional experience is a plus. Our selected applicant will potentially teach courses at the undergraduate, graduate and/or postgraduate level and contribute to the design and development of the Department’s programs. Importantly, applicants should share the values of the school and be team players.
Applicants should possess a PhD relevant to the field of Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a closely related domain.
Candidates with research and teaching experience / interest in sustainable operations management, closed loop supply chains and circular economy, carbon, renewable energy, water and waste reduction in supply chains are particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants should be completely fluent in English as nearly all courses at IESEG are taught in this language. Prior knowledge of French is not required as the School provides French courses to faculty members.
For appointment at the Associate/Full Professor level, applicants are required to have (a) extensive higher education teaching and relevant research experience; (b) a strong publication record in top-tier refereed journals; (c) good networks in both academia and professional circles at regional and international levels; and (d) experience in participating, developing and obtaining funding for research projects. Candidates with less experience but with the potential to secure publications in top-tier refereed journals in the near future will be considered for an appointment at Assistant Professor level.
