Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
Seeking a mid/senior-level Electrical Engineer for our office in Boise, Idaho. This challenging position offers a competitive salary with exciting opportunities to continue your engineering career at a busy, quality-focused engineering firm. Responsibilities include:
Performing and directing others in detailed building design, including lighting, power, HVAC power, refrigeration power, single line diagrams, lighting controls, security, fire alarm, and related engineering calculations.
Mentoring less experienced staff in project execution.
Ensuring that design standards and quality control procedures are followed and that the project team is resourced for efficient project execution.
Performing quality control design reviews for client deliverables.
Managing schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
Growing and managing relationships with clients.
Required Education/Experience
BSEE (BS in Electrical Engineering) degree from an ABET accredited university.
Professional Engineering license (PE).
4+ years of building design experience.
Strong understanding and knowledge of industry codes, including the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E), Life Safety Code (NFPA 101), International Building Code (IBC), and IEEE Standards.
Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Desired Experience
Managing two or more people on a project team.
Filling the role of project engineer for several projects occurring concurrently.
Estimating project labor hours and drafting proposals
