The City of Palo Alto’s Utilities Department (CPAU) is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Utilities Program Services workgroup responsible for Utilities Key Account, efficiency, building electrification, and EV charging programs for all commercial customer sectors. The Palo Alto community has ambitious goals to achieve 80% reductions in carbon emissions by 2030, and the Utilities Program Services team’s work is central to this effort. The Utilities Program Services Manager is a working manager who will have the opportunity to develop custom partnerships with major Palo Alto employers on shared sustainability goals. CPAU is seeking a candidate with the vision to guide Utilities Program Services in an environment of rapid change within the utility industry. The ideal candidate should have strong management skills, effective program and project management skills, good instincts for marketing, communications, and business account care, and experience creating and implementing customer-focused energy and water programs.
