Objectives: Maintain calibration system for test and measurement equipment for the St. Louis facilities.
Responsibilities:
Administer the Calibration Department to assure compliance to Global Directives and applicable regulations.
Schedule all internal and outsourced calibration services.
Specify and maintain calibration records
Review contractor calibration certificates.
Calibration and troubleshooting of electronic, pressure, torque, temperature, and physical dimensional test equipment.
Provide communication between all departments on schedules, equipment failures, and missing test and measurement equipment.
Write and review standard operating procedures.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Local travel required to multiple company work sites and calibration/metrology service labs.
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Mechanical — Experienced in the use of calipers, micrometers, and mechanical test fixtures.
Electrical — Experienced in the use of multi-meters, variable autotransformers and electrical safety analyzers.
Calibration — Experienced in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a Calibration System.
Guidelines — Experienced in ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 calibration requirements.
Communication Skills — Must be able to relay pertinent technical data to appropriate personnel. Report out of tolerance findings and investigate nonconformances.
Required Experience:
Minimum of Five years’ experience performing calibration activities and scheduling calibration services with outside labs.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a medical device / pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
