The role you’ll contribute:
This position has primary responsibility for the accurate intake and transfer of all Patient Safety Work Product (“PSWP”) associated with the AdventHealth PSO Patient Safety Evaluation System (“PSES”). Position provides data support for AdventHealth’s Patient Safety Organization (“PSO”) and PSES and is responsible for tracking, trending and analysis of all applicable data or assisting other PSO affiliated personnel with these activities. Position has overall responsibility for maintaining the integrity and the performance of any processes carried out in databases or software systems associated with AdventHealth PSO. Position provides outstanding internal and external customer service and provides consultative services for AdventHealth entities that have joined the PSO as Members.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Determine what is PSWP and non-PSWP within, and outside of, the AdventHealth PSO PSES to maintain regulatory standards for PSO operations.
Process and monitor large amounts of data and documents using computer software to facilitate a timely and accurate flow of information within and outside of the PSO.
Ensure the accuracy of data and their validation using established procedures to support submission to analytic provider databases and the Network of Patient Safety Databases.
Convert PSO data to specific file formats using technical specifications and computer software to facilitate timely PSO feedback to its members.
Draft policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements for PSO operations.
Implement and maintain security and confidentiality processes using regulatory requirements as a guide for compliant PSO operations.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Education/GED or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred qualifications:
At least one year of data management and project coordination experience
Experience in XML and XSD development
Familiarity with regulatory requirements pertaining to the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005, specifically in regard to PSO operations
Knowledge of patient safety, risk management, quality, and performance improvement
ImageNow (electronic document management)
AHRQ Common Formats (common data set for event reporting)
Origami (Risk Management Information System)
