Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to processes and procedures when necessary.
Work with Operations team for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes.
Lead MRB (Material Review Board) and coordinate rejected materials.
Work closely with the purchasing department, provide technical expertise for electronic components and PCB assemblies to ensure quality and reliability of incoming materials.
Lead Internal and customer corrective actions.
Work with Internal/External Customers and Suppliers to drive improvement.
Will support the NPI team by providing technical data and documentations.
Work closely with purchasing, suppliers and engineering team to identify future obsolete electronic components and assist with identifying and qualifying alternatives.
Create, monitor and report on functional testing/inspection for incoming board assemblies.
Lead and manage first article inspection process.
Investigate, analyze and resolve internal quality problems by participating in process audits, root cause and defect trend analysis and continuous improvement projects.
Supports purchasing and quality manager on supplier assessments and audits (as required).
Active and enthusiastic contribution to Lean & Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
This position acts as the liaison to Production, New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Engineering & Supply Chain.
Minimum requirements – bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong hands-on orientation.
Strong knowledge of PCBA boards.
Strong knowledge of ESD requirements.
Read and understand schematics and data sheets.
Experience of working with Customers.
Experience of solving internal/external quality issues.
Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements.
Experience with internal and external audits preferred.
Experience with qualifying second source suppliers specifically PCBA suppliers.
Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills / detail oriented.
Strong work ethic and team player attribute.
Good understanding of manufacturing operations and processes.
Strong knowledge of PCBA functionality, manufacturing, quality & testing, and performance.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stay focused on priorities.
Experience in using a wide variety of inspection tools such as micrometer, calipers, microscope and electrical test equipment Preferred.
Ability to clearly describe and document defect descriptions.
