MSK conducts one of the worlds largest clinical cancer research programs with patients and researchers typically involved in more than 900 total clinical trials at any given time. Teams of scientists and clinicians are united in a common pursuit: to transform our understanding of cancer and how we care for those affected by the disease. Clinical Trial Nurses (CTNs) and Clinical Trial Nurse Practitioners (CTNPs) support the mission by providing care and continuity to clinical trial participants across settings- inpatient, outpatient and Regional Care Network. CTNs integrate their expertise into the care of clinical trial participants, ensuring compliance with protocol procedures, assessments, and symptom management. We contribute scientific knowledge, critical thinking skills, and care coordination to the interdisciplinary team and support early phase clinical trials where timely translation of research evidence into practice is an integral part of the MSK research mission.
