Main Line Health, one of the leading not-for-profit health systems serving the greater Philadelphia region, is looking for a visionary and proactive leader to serve as our Senior Manager of Risk Prevention and Patient Safety for our multi-hospital system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate the integration of strategic vision into clinical practice through collaboration with local leaders and with the support of the Patient Safety Director.
Provide proactive risk identification and assessment to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of risk prevention and patient safety programs across all Main Line Health locations and affiliate partner sites.
Utilize sound avoidance and prevention techniques informed by advanced knowledge of patient safety science, reliability metrics, health care regulatory compliance and traditional health care risk management.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Current Pennsylvania clinical licensure with a bachelor’s degree in a health care-related field. Candidates with a master’s degree or with certification in Healthcare Risk Management or Patient Safety are preferred.
Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of health care operations with a minimum of five (5) years of health care management experience in patient safety or quality improvement in a large and complex environment that includes ambulatory or inpatient care. Experience in an academic medical center is helpful.
Experience working with performance improvement tools and methods, such as PDDA, LEAN techniques and High Reliability Organizations, as well as the ability to present actionable data for improvement projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, presentation and program management skills with the proven ability to influence stakeholders.
Must be knowledgeable in all phases of health care terminology, statistical analysis, operations, patient care, hospital, policies, procedures and health care laws.
Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and National Patient Safety Goals is desired.
Must have familiarity with and ability to work with databases, Microsoft Office programs and internet applications.
