These positions can be based in the areas around the following locations; Brandon, Randolph, or So. Burlington, Vermont or Gilford/Laconia or Bedford, New Hampshire.
Responsibilities of a Staff Engineer position are primarily associated with the design and technical development of work tasks assigned by project managers, which generally include:
Engineering, writing, and schedule management, to client coordination and other general project engineering duties.
Learning and developing proficiency in key engineering software, such as various CAD platforms - AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, and GIS programs/conventions.
Provide conceptual, preliminary and final design engineering and construction management for a variety of civil engineering projects. Work tasks are likely to include: Investigations, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, development of design details, plan and technical specification development, cost estimating, bid documents preparation, and review of submittals.
Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, design projects, and construction observation. Occasionally provide assistance with topographic survey field work.
