Responsible for coordinating the approval processes and conduct of research protocols, such that the integrity and quality of the clinical/translational research is maintained and the research is conducted in accordance within all policies, independently. Responsible for the timely preparation, planning and quality control of regulatory documents required for human subjects research. Supervise set-up and maintenance of biorepositories and assist in manuscript preparation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Submits Informed Consent, Human Subjects' Research Applications, DSMB, HIPAA compliance, Radiation and Biosafety and other pertinent regulatory forms to the IRB for institution approval of clinical trials.
Assists with protocol development of investigator-initiated research.
Record all subject related data (research and clinical), and create reports.
Supervise set-up and operation of laboratory environment, biospecimen processing, coding, storage and maintenance
Collect biospecimens during study subject visits
Prepare and process study documentation through IRB, including submissions, continuing review, amendments, and reports.
Assists PI in manuscript preparation for scientific journals
Develop reports of results and prepare study tables, graphs, charts
Present research findings and participate in research meetings (weekly)
Assist in development of material transfer agreement and data use agreements with collaborating institutions
Responsible for plan and coordination of literature and library searches and data collection programs
Create and maintain databases and source documents for data collection
Make recommendations to principal investigator regarding staff, supply and equipment needs for research projects
