The Orange County Utilities Solid Waste Division is seeking a dynamic, highly-qualified individual to fill the position of Chief Engineer. This position is responsible for performing highly advanced professional, administrative and supervisory engineering work in support of the solid waste management system. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Division Manager.  The Division is undertaking the development of a countywide sustainable materials management plan (SMMP), which will chart the path of end-of-live material management in the County for the next 30 years; and an update to the solid waste master plan, which will identify a capital improvement plan for new facilities to be developed to meet the SMMP.  The Chief Engineer will have a
