Job Summary and Qualifications 

The Director of Risk Management directs and supervises major functions to include: clinical risk management; management of claims (professional liability, general liability, auto liability, and property damage), and enterprise risk management. Supervises a staff of risk management coordinators to carry out the functions. Works with staff throughout the organization, from senior leaders to front-line colleagues, to promote risk management, patient and colleague safety, and quality improvement. Plays a key role in managing self- insurance funds through reserving, monitoring expenditures, assessing risk exposure, and making recommendations for resolution. Employs a data driven approach to risk management, analyzing events and claims data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.  Develops and delivers educational programs for providers and colleagues related to risk management.
