Assistant/Associate Director for the UPMC Cytogenetics Laboratory (UCL) - full-time faculty
As the Assistant/Associate Director for the UPMC Cytogenetics Laboratory (UCL), the primary responsibility will include analysis and interpretation of results, preparation and reviewing of final test reports, and reporting of final results on oncological, prenatal, and postnatal specimens. The candidate will be expected to develop and validate in house FISH –based assays for applications in oncology and other areas of importance to UCL and Center for Medical Genetics as technologies evolve. Also, he/she will assist in the overall direction, supervision, and administration of the performance of operations related to cytogenetics specimen handling, specimen testing, and specimen reporting, in an accurate, proficient, and expedient manner while ensuring client and patient confidentiality.
