We are looking for a motivated and results driven Project Manager to join our growing Pennsylvania office. This position will directly support our Senior Engineer (PA) and field teams across the nation to produce and deliver technical and management reports/deliverables as necessary. Field time is expected to consist of up to 25-50% travel
What You’ll Do:
Project management of monitoring projects, including logistical planning; client correspondence; project execution; assurance that field and reporting deadlines are met; budget tracking; forecasting; and invoicing.
Project execution of instrumentation systems includes coordination with production and field crews ensuring they are following BDI standards for system design; creation of installation drawings using AutoCAD, standard installation details, and verifying against project specifications; system testing; system installation in the field; post-field close out of the project; and pass off to our on-going monitoring division.
Collaborate on analysis and project deliverables with other Project Managers
Assist with project team schedules, assignments, and additional coordination as needed
This position allows opportunities for rapid growth within BDI’s management team
This position will provide field work in support of project delivery, as required
Management and mentorship of junior staff
Writing, reviewing, and presenting final deliverables for assigned projects
Other duties and special projects as assigned
What You Need to Be Successful:
Exposure and experience in instrumentation, testing, monitoring, and structural health monitoring
Ability to balance field and office work.
Proficient knowledge of bridges and how to test, monitor, and interpret analysis data
Proficient AutoCAD experience to develop/create instrumentation design drawings and project submittals
Ability to drive results through strong project management and on-site supervision
Results driven and leverage strong organization and process to guide your teams
A natural self-starter with a drive to connect with people on a daily basis
Flexible and have the ability to adapt to different types of work on a variety of projects
An effective communicator with the ability to address multiple audiences (oral and written)
Ready to develop personally and professionally with a growing company
6-12 years of project management experience (in the engineering services or civil construction)
EIT required, P.E. certification preferred
Willing to travel (50% field work) and willing to work out in the field
