Under the direct supervision of the Rural Health Clinic Manager, the Rural Health Clinic Coordinator will assist in maintaining compliance with internal and external Rural Health regulatory requirements, as well as the operations, continuity and efficiency of clinical activities. The Rural Health Clinic Coordinator will assist in the oversight of all Rural Health policies, standards, and preparedness for constant Rural Health Clinics' survey readiness.
Reports to the Rural Health Clinic Mgr
Assist manager in overseeing all Rural Health locations owned by Springfield Clinic for State and Federal compliance
Assist manager in developing, providing direction, and maintaining policies directly related to Rural Health compliance
Assist in completing, maintaining, and updating (as required) all CMS forms in order to ensure compliance for Rural Health Clinics
Work closely with Patient Accounting and Rural Health Clinic manager to ensure Rural Health Clinic billing compliance
Create manuals for new Rural Health Clinics and maintain existing Rural Health Clinics manuals
Assists manager with developing, maintaining, and conducting ongoing Rural Health Clinic training for all staff and managers who are working in or with Rural Health Clinics
Assist manager with developing, maintaining, and conducting ongoing Rural Health Clinic billing training for all Patient Accounting staff
Perform quarterly chart audits of both open and closed records for each Rural Health Clinic in accordance with the Rural Health Clinic standards
Maintain awareness of treatment equipment, data processing technology, and Rural Health insurance (Medicare & Medicaid) changes
Assist manager in developing and maintaining Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures for all Rural Health Clinics owned by Springfield Clinic.
Assist manager in developing and conducting community and tabletop emergency preparedness exercises, in conjunction with community leaders within the communities of the Rural Health Clinics
Assist manager with preparing and conducting the required Rural Health Clinic program evaluation for each Rural Health Clinic owned by Springfield Clinic
Perform semi-annual mock public health inspections (site surveys) for all Rural Health Clinic owned by Springfield Clinic
Assist Manager in assessing, preparing, and implementing any potential Rural Health Clinic sites within Springfield Clinic or future Rural Health Clinic sites acquired by Springfield Clinic
Assist manager with compiling necessary reports for the Rural Health Clinic cost report preparer
Assist manager in compiling reports as needed in order to monitor the viability of the Rural Health Clinic program within Springfield Clinic
Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
Provide excellent customer service and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field preferred but not required
Minimum of three to five (3-5) years clinical experience
Must be a Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional (CRHCP) or obtain certification within one (1) year of job placement, and maintain annual certification
RN or LPN license in good standing in the state of Illinois
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge pertaining to the Rural Health Clinic certification process and requirements
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, practice management systems, business management tools, and budgeting/project management software required.
