DescriptionSUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: The mission of the Miethke research lab is to develop better therapies for cholestatic and inflammatory liver diseases affecting infants, children, and young adults. Liver transplantation remains the only treatment for many patients with biliary atresia (BA), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), or autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) to prolong survival.
