Responsible for health system risk management and educational activities to facilitate a culture of safety and risk reduction. Under the direction of the Corporate Director of Safety, coordinates work within the safety department and with other departments to enhance organizational improvement efforts and system priorities. Performs patient safety event reviews, Root Cause Analysis, Proactive Risk Assessments, Failure Mode Effect Analysis, and environmental assessments, formulating effective improvement strategies with findings. Leads, facilitates, and teaches teams to sustain major change initiatives across the organization. Facilitates a preventative approach to risk reduction through various work initiatives and projects. Innovative thinker and strategist with expert skills in leading improvement efforts.
Master's in health care preferred. Two years of risk management experience required, and certification in risk management or within 1 year of hire. Green belt preferred or equivalent. Proficiency in teambuilding and knowledge sharing. Strong acumen of risk minimization, analysis methodologies, and education in healthcare settings.
