The Quality Improvement Coordinator oversees data collection and report reviews for quality and compliance, staff education and remedial training. The Quality Improvement Coordinator manages all state, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and regulatory mandated data collections processes. The Quality Improvement Coordinator ensures all medical standard operating procedures (SOPs) are compliant with state and federal regulations as well as internal records of review. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of navigating the electronic medical record, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to collaborate with teams to achieve desired outcomes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
Minimum Required Experience: 2-4 years+ of experience in retrospective chart review and interpretation of clinical quality standards. Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and PowerPoint with a strong emphasis on the use of Excel
Preferred Experience: 2-4 years+ experience in healthcare quality. Proficient in at least one EMR system and familiar with chart review process.
Education:
Minimum Required Education: Completion of an accredited licensed practical nursing program or associate degree in a healthcare related field.
Preferred Education: BSN or bachelor’s degree in a related field
Licenses:
Minimum Required Licenses: Active license in field of study as required by Kansas state law.
