We are looking to hire a new Histology Technical Support person to join our dedicated, productive, team-oriented culture.
The primary responsibility of the technical support position is to provide Histology and IHC technical support to current and prospective customers. Assisting customers with products and laboratory techniques is key to the success of our business, as such the technical support position is a highly visible and valuable one. You will be interacting with almost all aspects of the company and have regular, if not daily, contact with most of the company staff. This position requires a high level of responsibility, interpersonal relationships, proactive ingenuity, and accountability. Baccalaureate degree
HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certifications
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years clinical laboratory experience
Responsibilities:
Provide histology technical support to Newcomer Supply customers.
Answering product questions.
Make recommendations based on customers intended use.
Troubleshoot histology protocol issues that arise during and before product use.
Manage customer complaints towards successful timely resolution.
Responsible for technical document and data management.
Lead laboratory through testing and product analysis.
Assist with regulatory compliance related to CAP and CLIA.
Assist the quality management system team in the development, implementation, and review as needed.
Timely and accurate communication with all company departments.
Commitment, honest, and transparent communication between management and laboratory staff.
Requirements:
Comfort level working with customers answering product questions and solving technical issues.
Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot issues.
Strong and consistent focus on detail and excellence.
Extensive knowledge of histotechnology and IHC staining procedures.
Excellent listening and verbal communication skills and can communicate with all levels of personnel.
Experience writing technical documents.
Drives accuracy in all aspects of work responsibilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills. The individual identifies problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Finds satisfactory and efficient resolution.
Can construct and present logical and thorough solutions and plan of action for team.
Prioritizes work activities and uses time efficiently.
Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delay, or unexpected events.
Works well under pressure, stays flexible through growth and change.
High level functionality with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required. Database experience preferred.
