JOB SUMMARY

Clanton is growing!  We are seeking a full-time Controller to join our team in Boulder, CO to be the point person for all things related to invoicing, collections, payroll, and financial statements in preparation of the corporate tax returns with our outside CPA. This position is also responsible for completing the annual CDOT Master Pricing Agreement including any staff addition(s) that may occur during the year.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial administration, including invoicing, collections, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, budgeting, journal entries using Deltek Ajera software
• Coordinate with Project Managers on invoice preparation, revision and submission
• Coordinate with external CPA firm with taxes, audits and year-end reporting
• CDOT Master Pricing Agreement preparation and submission including adding new employees as they are hired
• Assist in CDOT Overhead Audit coordination and FAR compliance with external CPA
• Review timesheets, prepare payroll, prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual State and Federal payroll reporting
• 401k submission/reporting
• Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, 401k reporting, expense reports
• Complete City & County of Denver and CDOT payment audit reports

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance or 5+ years in practical years experience in bookkeeping, accounting or finance
• 3+ years experience in Deltek Ajera software
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience in AEC field a plus
