The Position The General Superintendent is a highly competent and experienced utility senior leader whose primary responsibilities include the efficient administration, operation, and control of the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans’ (SWBNO) water, sewerage, drainage, and power infrastructure systems. This position is the organization’s Chief Operating Officer and reports directly to the Executive Director as well as the Board of Directors (Board). The appointment of the General Superintendent is made by the Board, and the General Superintendent serves at the pleasure of the Board.
