Our program is housed at Rush Copley Medical Center, a 210-bed community hospital located in Aurora, Illinois. Our Family Medicine Center emphasizes education and team-based care in partnership with our patients. Our learners are diverse in experience and background. We teach residents, medical students, pharmacy students and pre-professional students. Our multidisciplinary care team includes a psychologist and an ambulatory care pharmacist.
We're looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal, teaching and inpatient/outpatient skills. Faculty inpatient call averages one week every 4.5 weeks with the residents. Previous academic experience and Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required. You'll supervise residents in the clinical setting, oversee one or more core curriculum areas, as assigned by the Program Director, participates in program and curriculum quality improvement, complete quality improvement and scholarly activity to meet accreditation requirements to advance the science of family medicine and to serve as a role model for residents. Candidate will also have the opportunity to Join the faculty of the Rush University Department of Family Medicine.
