OhioHealth is seeking an experienced Clinical Ethicist to join our team. Our Clinical Ethicists staff an active, well-integrated service that conducts over 550 consults annually; serve as resources across the system; and develop site- and system-level ethics initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the current Clinical Ethicists to provide high-quality ethics consultation
Serve as the primary Clinical Ethicist for Doctor’s Hospital and Mansfield Hospital and support the Ethics Advisory Committees at these sites
Provide ethics education to a broad range of health care professionals and learners
Review and develop system policy, procedure and processes
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree or doctoral degree in an ethics-related field
Healthcare Ethics Consultant – Certified (HEC-C), if eligible
Minimum 2 years experience working with clinical ethics issues, which could include fellowship work or other advance training
Knowledge of ethical principles, forms of moral reasoning, and relevant issues in medical ethics
Ability to manage high-intensity interpersonal conflict and maintain positive interdisciplinary relationships
