The Department of Public Health, now part of the, brand new, College for Community Health, seeks an exceptional candidate with specialized expertise in biostatistics or a closely related field. The primary focus of this role is to make significant contributions to our academic and research missions, both at the Department and the College level. The key responsibilities of this position include: Research Excellence: Engage in cutting-edge research initiatives that align with the department and college objectives, emphasizing statistical analysis in the context of public health and related disciplines; Teaching and Mentoring: Develop and deliver high-quality biostatistics course content, to both undergraduate and graduate students, fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, provide mentorship and guidance to graduate students, demonstrating a dedication to their success; Engaging in grant-funded research: Collaborate as a co-investigator or principal investigator on grant-funded research projects, actively contributing to the design and development of methodological and analytical components of grant proposals; and Interdisciplinary Collaboration: with researchers from various disciplines at the university and others, both nationally and internationally, to promote interdisciplinary research initiatives within the College.
Terminal degree (PhD) in Public Health or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on Statistical Analysis;
Proven record of conducting innovative research in biostatistics, epidemiology, or related fields
Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis methods applicable to Public Health research
Teaching experience with a passion for creating engaging and inclusive learning environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
