Two tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Supply Chain Management
The Information Systems and Supply Chain Management (ISSCM) Department of Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business solicits interest from candidates for two faculty appointments in Supply Chain Management beginning in Fall, 2024. We welcome applications from candidates with all areas of expertise and interest in operations andsupply chain management. Both positions are tenure-track with one at the Assistant level and the other at the Associate level.
Responsibilities: Quinlan tenure-track faculty engage in impactful teaching, high-quality research, service to the profession, school, and share a strong commitment to and understanding of the University’s mission. We seek candidates who are or will become established leaders in operations and supply chain management. Candidates should demonstrate a strong research agenda and pipeline. We particularly welcome those with research and teaching interests that include sustainability, demand modeling and pricing, or dynamic and stochastic optimization.
We seek scholars who can support the academic undergraduate, and master’s level curriculum in supply chain management and operations, and industry-focused supply chain related activities. Quinlan’s reputation in Supply Chain Management in both academic and industry communities is growing. On the academic side, Quinlan offers a Master of Science in SCM that is ranked #17 by US News and World Report. Along with internationally recognized and award-winning faculty, Quinlan has served as host for major supply chain-related academic events. On the industry side, Quinlan houses a Supply Chain and Sustainability Center, opened in 2013, that currently has over 40 corporate members. This center hosts multiple industry-focused supply chain events and offers numerous opportunities for faculty to engage with industry in activities related to applied research and academic curriculum and program development.
Earned Ph.D. or DBA in a field such as Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research.
Established record of ongoing research activities in the field.
For the position at the Assistant level, candidates completing a Ph.D. by Fall 2024 are preferred but ABDs will be considered.
Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and experience developing curriculum.

The Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago is an AACSB-accredited institution and presently has about 2,000 undergraduate and over 500 graduate students, 95 full-time faculty, and six endowed chairs.
