Starting salary is $120,000.00 per annum commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is also an exempt position.

Under the direct supervision of the Power Division Manager or his/her designee.
Duties:
Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
Manages complex electrical projects and executing programs, coordinates and meets with other divisional sections and corporate divisions to coordinate activities and projects
Performs project management activities to include: preparing reports, correspondence and recommendations; developing scope of work; providing technical reviews; surveying for projects; scheduling project elements; evaluating proposals; monitoring project progress and funding; and, recommending project selection.
Prepares engineering calculations, plans and specifications; designs utility related facilities; collects data and performs project research related to project and operational costs, and efficiency analysis.
Manages construction and performs contract management work; evaluates bid documents; maintains correspondence with contractors; reviews submittals; interprets drawings and technical specifications; and evaluates work for compliance with contract provisions.
Compiles analytical data and provide reports regarding existing or potential electrical engineering studies or projects.
Develop systems that produce electricity with renewable energy sources, such as wind, solar, or biofuels.
Performs construction inspections; reviews and processes payment requests from contractors.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Licensed PE, and five years professional engineering, and experience working in a power transmission and distribution system.

Licensing:
Licensed PE, from a U.S. jurisdiction with appropriate class.
Valid CNMI Driver’s license or one from a U.S. jurisdiction with appropriate class.
