The renowned University of Colorado is seeking a Clinical Genetics Laboratory Co-Director who will review and sign out clinical cases across a spectrum of cytogenetic and molecular pathology applications. The successful candidate will function as an attending physician or certified scientist within both laboratories for the review and release of clinical genetic test results across a spectrum of testing types, including cytogenetics and molecular pathology applications. In addition, the successful candidate will be a faculty member in the School of Medicine, Department of Pathology at the University of Colorado at a level commensurate with experience.
Enjoy traditional work in the clinical cytogenetics field along with the ability to practice in molecular pathology/genetics for qualified candidates

Candidate Qualifications There are three qualification tracks for this job. MDs, DOs, MD/PhDs, or PhDs depending on certification and interests:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Clinical Cytogenetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG),
Board-certified or board-eligible in both Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Molecular diagnostics through ABMGG, or
Board-certified or board-eligible in clinical Molecular Pathology through the American Board of Pathology (ABP) and in Clinical Cytogenetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics through the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)
Leadership positions will require 5 years of faculty experience at an academic medical center and independent research or peer-reviewed publications in molecular pathology and/or clinical cytogenetics commensurate with rank.
