MSK requires all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This is based on the COVID-19 vaccines' high level of protection and our shared responsibility in protecting our patients.
Beginning on February 21, 2022, MSK will require all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination series + booster (once eligible). Individuals currently eligible for a COVID-19 booster must get their booster, or have an approved exemption as a condition of employment at MSK. Individuals can get their COVID-19 booster 5 months after receiving their second dose of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, or 2 months after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Individuals who are not yet eligible for a booster must meet this criteria within 30 days of becoming eligible.
Job Description
As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will perform testing required to allow the release of cell therapy products manufactured in the Cell Therapy Cell Engineering Facility (CTCEF) and to follow up cell therapy products in patient samples after treatment. The QC team works in pair with the Manufacturing team to be able the reception and the process of QC samples at all times during the manufacturing process.

- Perform various assay; Cellular (e.g. Viability, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity, stem cell assays) Molecular (e.g. extraction, PCR, Southern Blot) Biochemical (e.g. endotoxin, mycoplasma
- Ensure all samples testing is completed and detailed in a timely manner while meeting Production and Quality timelines
- Provide immediate notification of abnormal test results and assay failure
- Prepared all QC sample Material Transfer Document forms as needed for delivery to in-house and third-party labs
- Provide support to the patient infusion process
- Prepare adequate paperwork to ensure identity and quality of manufactured products to be delivered
- Assist with the writing and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to write deviation and non-compliance investigations
- Assist with validation process and assay improvement
You need:
- Bachelor's Degree in biology with 1-2 years of cellular and molecular assay laboratory experience
- Experience in a clinical laboratory or in a controlled therapeutic manufacturing environment is highly preferred
