Infection Preventionist-Quality Assurance
DescriptionSummary:The Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible for the hospital-wide management of infection surveillance, prevention and control functions. Assures high quality patient care by eliminating risk of infections through surveillance and implementation of standards to prevent infection in-patients and personnel. Acts as a liaison between departments and the Infection Control Committee. Also serves as resource person for orientation, continuing staff education, patient care, the community, Employee Health and in the development of hospital wide infection control policies, procedures and practices.Requirements:Must be able to prioritize workflow on a daily basis.
